Archive of Baix Llobregat

The Regional Archives, with a surface area of ​​1872 m2, ensuring the conservation, preservation and dissemination of the documentary heritage of local and regional.

Built in three floors, it is divided into two areas: the internal and the public. The first one has a discharge dock, reception room and selection of documentation, disinfection area, warehouses, work rooms, offices, meeting room, five documentation repositories with a potential capacity of 14 kilometers and two special storage tanks : One for photographic and electronic documentation and another for large format media, such as parchments, drawings and posters. Public spaces are divided into a consultation room suitable for 19 people, which also contains part of the auxiliary library, and a multipurpose room with a capacity of 60 people.

Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It is recommended to contact the Archive in advance to confirm the availability of access to the center.

Belongs to the Regional Archives Network. It was created on April 23, 1983 by means of an agreement signed between the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the City Council of Sant Feliu de Llobregat. Currently, the Baix Llobregat County Council also participates in the management of this service.

The institution develops archive functions of the Administration, institutions and individuals of the Baix Llobregat and the Municipal Archive of Sant Feliu de Llobregat. The current headquarters were opened on March 28, 2015.
 
It retains a wide variety and multiplicity of collections and collections related to the Baix Llobregat region, with 124 funds and more than 3,000 linear meters of documentation. Among the collections are the municipal archives of Sant Feliu de Llobregat (from 1757), Castellví de Rosanes (1716), Collbató (1817), Corbera de Llobregat (1761), Santa Coloma de Cervelló (1841) and Torrelles de Llobregat ( 1716), as well as the bottom of the Consell Comarcal del Baix Llobregat. It contains around 2,300 protocols of the various notaries of the Sant Feliu de Llobregat district (since the end of the 18th century) and various institutional funds, associations, patrimony, ecclesiastics, companies and individuals in the region.
 
Also, save the bottom of it Consultation for women Elena Francis 1951-1972), with approximately 100,000 letters that show aspects of the daily life of women during the Franco regime. It also retains some documentary collections (ephemeral and posters) and more than 110,000 images and has a library specialized in local history, with more than 9000 titles, and a newspaper archive with more than 600 headers of the Baix Llobregat.
