Rehabilitation, good practices and energy efficiency 
If you do it at home, why not in your neighborhood?
Use only the energy you need, save money and help fight climate change.
- Adjust the contracted electric power to the actual needs by consulting the e-distribución platform. Consult the guide and explanatory virtual session.
- Contract the PVPC rate on the regulated market or the indexed rate on the free market. If you want fixed prices, you can ask the regulated market trader:
- Contribute to promoting renewable energies by hiring 100% green energy marketers with Guarantee of Origin certificates, as well as local marketers or cooperatives from the social and solidarity economy.
- Change the light bulbs and fluorescents to LED ones.
- Avoid the lights of passageways (gates, stairs, hallways and garages) remain on. It is recommended to use systems that turn off when timing is complete fixed time.
- Use sectioned lighting in passageways. Thus when you press a switch is not lit All at once, but only where there is someone. A good resource are the sensors that detect the movement and make it turn on the lights only when needed.

- Make good use of the equipment and perform periodic maintenance correctly. The lift will be more efficient, consume less energy and will extend the life.
- The most efficient consumption is what does not occur: use the stairs whenever you can, your health will thank you too.
If your building has parking:
- Install face-to-face sensor systems or timers.
- Set fluorescents as presence detectors so that the light intensity decreases when it does not detect movement and increases when it does detect motion. To be able to do this, they must be LED-type fluorescents and have a dimmer (regulator or dimmer) that allows them to regulate energy.

Self-production and renewables
In Sant Feliu we are strongly committed to the deployment of renewable energies in the municipality and, above all, the promotion of self-consumption of energy so that all people can generate the energy they need through electricity production technology with renewable sources.
The City Council organized informative sessions on self-consumption of electricity with photovoltaic panels in different facilities and neighborhoods of the city during the months of April and May 2022. The aim of the sessions was to learn first-hand what shared self-production is , what are the approximate costs, the bonuses offered by the Sant Feliu City Council for its implementation, as well as the essential recommendations in order to make a correct use of it that contributes at the same time to a decrease in pollution.
The summary and video of the session is uploaded to the City Council's website. In the same way, the presentation used in the self-production sessions in blocks of flats is made available to review all that information, links and bibliography of the corresponding content.

For shared self-consumption it is proposed to search web search engines for practical guides for collective self-production in blocks of flats. There are very good quality guides that explain what collective self-production is, how it works, steps to put photovoltaic solar panels on blocks of flats and future scenarios to gradually adapt to. Then it would be necessary to request a quote from 2 or 3 installation companies.

Allowances, grants and financing
Tax rebates and exemptions for renewable installations
In Sant Feliu we have updated the tax rebates in order to repay the initial investment in less time, by subsidizing 5% of the IBI (property tax) and the exemption of 95% of the ICIO fee (tax on constructions and works) for the installation of renewable energies (photovoltaic solar, thermal solar, geothermal and mini-wind).
With regard to the IBI bonus, if what is decided is to install renewable production projects in neighboring communities only for common areas, the participating households will have the option of requesting the bonus of 5% of the IBI for 5 years.
Requests for bonuses under this article must be made between January 1 and the last day of the voluntary payment period, inclusive. By 2022 it is July 5, 2022. Applications submitted after this deadline will be moved for this purpose, to the next tax period if applicable.
With regard to the ICIO, the constructions, installations or works of residential buildings or economic activities and / or services in which systems for the installation are installed will have a 95% discount on the quota. use of solar thermal, photovoltaic solar for own, shared and grid-injected self-consumption of energy from the sun, or renewable energy sources, without obligation to do so by urban planning regulations or municipal ordinances.
This bonus will be applied only to the part of the material execution budget (PEM) corresponding to the installation of self-consumption with renewable energy.
In addition, in accordance with tax ordinance 10, fees for urban services, installations and / or modification of improvement equipment in solar thermal energy installations and works directly linked to the installation of any type of renewable energy, as long as it is not mandatory, are not subject to the tax for urban services. To specify, the fee must be paid whenever it is a new construction project, change of use of the entire building, medium or high level rehabilitation, rehabilitation with the obligation to install or other cases of in accordance with Article 1 of the ordinance.
Aid and subsidies for renewable installations
In June 2021, the Royal Decree 477/2021 was published in the Official State Gazette which regulates aid concessions for the promotion of self-consumption and energy storage from renewable sources. These aids have been regulated in Catalonia through resolution ACC/3662/2021 of the Catalan Institute of Energy (ICAEN).
