Sant Feliu celebrates the Feast of Sant Llorenç from August 9 to 11

From August 9 to 11, Sant Feliu will celebrate a new edition of the Festa Major de Sant Llorenç, the city's patron saint. The festivities will be concentrated around Plaça de la Vila, where there will be traditional activities open to everyone, and also in other places in the city.

The pre-party will arrive on Thursday, August 8, at 8 p.m., with the creation of a participatory mural along with the start of the third edition of Enriqueta Martí's Trivial in Plaça de la Vila. The party will continue in the square with a popular dinner at 9 p.m., and half an hour later with the satirical proclamation and the lowering of the bell tower by GEPS, Seny i Ordre and Trabucaires. The day before the Festival will close with a concert with the 'Coi Els Montgrons' version group.

The party program will officially begin on Friday, August 9 at 6 p.m. with the Festa Major concert Alba&Sergi, Cello Duet, Bach and Classics, at the Cathedral of Sant Llorenç. At the same time and until 9 pm, 'The Vespers of Sant Llorenç' will be celebrated, with DJ Restless and DJ Mestres, in Parc Nadal. Plaça de la Vila will also be the scene of various activities that will take place throughout the afternoon and evening, such as traditional bowling, proclamation and the start of the party with the Old Giants, the kick-off at the start of the party, or the popular dinner at 9 p.m. The day will end with open-air dancing, by the Atrium group, open-air cinema in Plaça de la Salut, and 'Follow the Party with the Commission!', at 0.30am, in Plaça de la Vila.

After the trabucaires parade at 10.15 a.m. in Plaça de la Vila, on Saturday the 10th the citizens have an appointment at 10.30 a.m. with a parade, with the Old Giants and the Trabucaires, which will go from Palau Falguera to the Town Hall . Once the tour ends, the traditional ringing of bells and Mass of Sant Llorenç will take place in the cathedral, at 11.45am and 12pm respectively. The dance of the giants in Plaça de la Vila will give way, at 1:30 p.m., to a ballad by the Esbart Sant Feliu and the Old Giants at the end of the mass, to an aperitif in honor of the Llorenç and Llorences, and a trout competition

From 7 p.m. the neighbors will be invited to participate in the sardanas, with the Cobla Mar i Cel, with giant dances in the middle. The party will continue at 9 p.m. with an al fresco cinema in the Jardins del Palau Falguera, and an hour later with the singing of havaneras by the group Crema Catalana, and the burnt rum by the Trabucaires Sant Llorenç. The celebration will end on the PDs night in Plaça de la Vila with Ara Aloha and DJ Txvi.

The last day of the Festa de Sant Llorenç, Sunday 11 August, will start at 11 a.m. with a cyanotype workshop with Blue Tropic, small giant games by Gil Ratataplam and balloon flexion and make-up with Arquitectes de sminirs, and will continue at 1.30 pm with a musical vermouth with karaoke. At 5:30 p.m. Plaça de la Vila will host the show Lola Mento Culinament with cooking, juggling and acrobatics by the clown Lola Mento, and half an hour later a glossa workshop will take place, which will lead to 7 p.m. talent exhibition gala 'La Llorença gives the bell!' During the evening, other events will be held such as the final of the 3rd edition of the Trivial Enriqueta Martí or the Baix for Laughs, humorous monologues with various artists from the area.

After the start of the 'Jo porto' dinner at 9 p.m., a night parade will be held with the Giants of the ACF and Xarangarín, and the subsequent ringing of bells. The parade will start in Carrer de Rectoria and end in Plaça de la Vila where, from 11 p.m., the end of the party will be celebrated with charanga music and PDs to give way, at 11:15 p.m., to the combo workshop of the Athenaeum.
