Urban gardens

Orchards located at 66 General Manso Street.

The City Council is donating 47 urban orchards located on the municipal plot of 66 General Manso Street, with the aim of contributing to the recovery of agriculture and raising public awareness of the values of the land and the environment.

The gardens have dimensions of 30 m2 and have access to drinking water with individual meter.

Orchards located on Carrer del Pla.

TheOffice of Environmental Serviceshas promoted a new project of ecological urban gardens, located in Carrer del Pla, between Ramon y Cajal and Rupert Lladó streets (next to the current Social Gardens).

The beneficiaries of this municipal initiative are residents of Sant Feliu with an interest in organic farming. Initially, the space will have 42 rental halls, of about 40 m2 each, pending possible extensions.

The assignment will be for a maximum of two years, plus two additional years extension possible.

The beneficiaries will receive training to learn how to grow in a sustainable way, minimizing the use of chemical fertilizers and insecticides.

Registration / Request for service:

They can request the seniors, registered in Sant Feliu for at least two years, or who have been registered in the city five consecutive years in the last 10 years. In any case, it should have no garden or rent property

Preference will opt for a garden retired people, those who are unemployed for over a year, under 35, as well as associations pedagogical, social and therapeutic.

Applications can be made through the associated processing or OAC from Wednesday 29 April to 30 June 2015.
