Archives Baix Llobregat

Chronological reach: XI-XXI centuries

Document consultation service, with capacity for 24 people, with access to the Archive database and the Internet.
Consult funds and documents digitized through the search of funds and documents of the Network of Regional Archives.
Information and reference service on the funds and documents of the Archive, both by face-to-face and by mail, telephone, fax and internet.
Educational service, with guided visits, prior arrangement, addressed to educational centers or other groups that request it; Didactic material and advice in the research work of the baccalaureate and in the credits of synthesis of ESO.
Reproduction service of all types of documents: images, sound, audiovisual and textual, in accordance with the rates of the Department of Culture in force. The restrictions of this service will be linked to the preservation conditions and the intellectual property rights of the documents.
Support services to the local Administration of the region in matters of document management.
The Library, with more than 6,600 volumes, specialized in the Baix Llobregat, history and archives, is part of the Specialized Libraries of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Hemeroteca, with more than 500 headers of the Baix Llobregat, of which 50,000 pages are consultable through the XAC_premsa search engine.

From 1 February to 30 May, the Archive's opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 2 pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3.30 pm to 6 pm.

Between 1 June and 30 September, the opening hours are from Monday to Friday, from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm. It is recommended to contact the Archive in advance to confirm the availability of access to the center.

Publication of books of local and regional history in co-editing with various institutions and entities of the Baix Llobregat region.
Periodic review of the activities of the archive in the quarterly publication 'Files.
Bulletin of the General Subdirectorate of Archives 'of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
