Journalist Jordi Hurtado, herald of the 2024 Spring Festivals

On Friday 10 May, at 5.30 p.m., Sala Ibèria (c/ Pi i Margall, 21) will host the traditional Pregó de les Roses, an event open to all citizens that will mark the beginning of the Spring Festival 2024. This year the announcement will be made by Sant Feliuen journalist Jordi Hurtado Torres.

The proclamation will be the forecourt of the inauguration, at 7 p.m., of the 66th National Exhibition of Roses, which once again hosts Palau Falguera and which offers different proposals such as demonstrations of floral art, craft workshops with roses, or the Japanese 'Children's Day Fair'. Apart from various exhibitions, you can enjoy another year with the initiative Facades with roses, in which different emblematic buildings of Sant Feliu are decorated with flowers and color to welcome the festivities.

Jordi Hurtado, herald of the 2024 Spring Festivals

Jordi Hurtado i Torres (Sant Feliu de Llobregat, June 16, 1957) is a presenter and Catalan dubbing actor, known since 1985 for several TVE competitions, especially Know and Win in La 2.

He had previously gained experience in radio, presenting the show The radio in the sun, on Ràdio Barcelona (Cadena SER), winner of the Ondas Award in 1982. In the 1990s he was one of the dubbing actors who gave voice to Epi, from the children's program Sesame Street.

In 1985 he made his debut with the competition If I know, I don't come, a successful program that remained on the air until 1988. It was his first professional contact with the director Sergi Schaaff, with whom in the future he coincided again in other projects, such as the first version of 3x4 for the Catalan TVE circuit.

In 1990 he led the competition Pictionary, which began on the Catalan circuit of TVE and which in 1991 began to be broadcast throughout Spain. In 1992 he presented Game cars and in 1993, Let's play trivia. In 1997 he joined Sergi Schaaff's new project, the daily general culture contest Know and win, who has directed La 2 since then.

Between the years 2007 and 2008 he presented the program Memories of the TV in the Catalan circuit of TVE's La 2, in which the history of the programs and characters throughout the history of TVE in Catalonia is reviewed.
